HERE'S HOW TO INSTALL WINDOW TINT ON YOUR VOLVO

STEP 1

Remove the door panel to facilitate the installation of the window tint.

STEP 2

The most important step is to thoroughly clean the entire window. Use a glass cleaner and make sure the window is completely free from dust, dirt, and grease. Then, dry it with a microfiber cloth.

STEP 3

Start by placing the window film on the outside of the car window, this is done by spraying soapy water to keep the film in place. Adjust and ensure it fits perfectly against the window. What's important now is that the protective film is facing outward.

STEP 4

Since most Volvo models have curved windows, the window film needs to be heated to conform to the shape of the window. This is done while the film is mounted on the outside. Use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the window film so that it molds to the car window. Use the included scraper to push out air bubbles and wrinkles that form when the film contracts from the heat. This step requires precision and patience.

STEP 5

Spray a generous amount of soapy water on the inside of the window. This acts as a lubricant, allowing you to adjust the position of the window film more easily.

STEP 6

Remove the protective film from the window film. Here, you can advantageously use the soapy water by spraying it on the adhesive side while peeling off the protective film. Then, carefully apply it to the wet window. Start from the top and work your way down. Use the soapy water to adjust the film to the perfect position.

STEP 7

Use the squeegee to smooth out the film and push out all water and air bubbles underneath. Start from the center and work outward toward the edges. Be thorough and patient during this step to avoid creases and bubbles.

STEP 8

Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the film, especially at the edges and where larger bubbles persist. This helps to "bond" the film to the glass and eliminate any remaining air and water.

STEP 9

After the film has been applied and everything is smoothed out, perform a final inspection to ensure that no bubbles or creases remain. Finally, wipe the window with a clean microfiber cloth.
