When your Volvo V70, XC70, or S80 08-16 needs a indicator bulb, it's easier than you think to replace it yourself. Follow our step-by-step guide below to clarify the process and ensure your car is ready to keep shining on the road. With these simple steps, you'll soon have your indicator in perfect condition again. Let's get started!
INDICATOR BULB
Bulb H21W, with base BAY9s used as turn signal lamp in the headlights for Volvo V70, XC70 08-16.
These cars have an orange lens and therefore you only need a regular white light.
Here's how you change the indicator bulb on Volvo V70, XC70 & S80 08-16!
1. Start with the Hood
Begin the process by opening the hood to gain easy access to the headlight and indicator bulb.
2. Lift the Latches
Lift the two latches that securely hold the headlight in place. This will allow you to easily remove the headlight and access the indicator bulb.
3. Disconnect the Connector
Continue by disconnecting the connector attached to the headlight.
4. Open the Indicator Cover: Access to the Indicator Bulb
Open the cover to easily access and replace your indicator bulb.
5. Gentle Removal
Pull the bulb backward to remove it from its socket.
6. Locking Mechanism
Note that the bulb has a locking mechanism. Press the bulb inward and twist it to release it from the lock. This will allow you to remove the old indicator bulb.
7. New Bulb in Place
Insert the new bulb in place and secure it. This will provide you with a renewed and functioning indicator.
8. Reassembly in Reverse Order
Complete by reassembling everything in reverse order. Close the indicator cover, connect the connector to the headlight, and secure the headlight with the two latches.
