The brake discs are delivered in pairs because brake discs are always replaced in pairs per axle.

These discs are supplied with a coated surface to better resist rust. Rust can degrade the disc's braking properties over time.

Run in new brake discs:
To maximise the life of brake discs, you should drive with gentle braking during the first 50 miles. It is also good to avoid keeping your foot on the brake pedal during extended stops after heavy braking, for instance at traffic lights. Always wait to wash your Volvo until the brakes have cooled down, or avoid water from spraying onto the hot discs during washing.
With these simple tips in mind, you'll keep your new brake discs in perfect condition for a long time to come.
